Lupus

When you have lupus, you never know when a flare will strike or how it will affect you. If you have cutaneous lupus erythematosus (CLE), you may be eligible to participate in a clinical trial – now accepting participants. You may even be able to remain on current lupus treatments while participating.

Prurigo Nodularis
(aka pickers bumps)

Participants must be adults ages 18-75, have more than 20 active sites involving at least 2 body regions. This is a double-blind study of an oral daily medication with 2 different doses vs placebo for 24 weeks. After 24 weeks, all subjects get active medicine. All participants paid for visits with compensation available for travel.

Psoriasis

This study is a registry to track symptoms and progress of patients who start on some of the newer immunosuppressive agents for treatment.

Psoriasis

Participants must be adults ages 1+, have more than 10% body surface area plaque psoriasis (10 handprints of involved area). This is a double-blind study of an oral daily medication comparing the study medicine to Otezla and placebo with 4:1 ratio of active agents to placebo for 16 weeks. After 16 weeks, all subjects stop medication and return for a final visit at week 20. All participants paid for visits with compensation available for travel.

Chronic Idiopathic Urticaria

Otherwise known as chronic hives, this study is for anyone with unexplained hives lasting more than 6 weeks and not responding to over-the-counter antihistamines like Claritin, Zyrtec or Allegra.

Urticaria (chronic hives)

Participants must be adults ages 18-75, have chronic spontaneous urticaria for more than 6 months while using at least one over the counter antihistamine daily (Zyrtec, Allegra or Claritin). This is a double-blind study of an injectable medication given every 4 weeks with 2 different doses vs placebo for 24 weeks. After 24 weeks, all subjects get active medicine. All participants paid for visits with compensation available for travel.

Alopecia Areata

Autoimmune patchy or diffuse hair loss. This study is a registry to track symptoms and progress of patients who start on some of the newer immunosuppressive agents for treatment such as Olumiant or Litfulo.

Bullous Pemphigoid

A rare autoimmune blistering condition that we are collecting blood samples to help a research lab identify potential allergy pathways in the disease. Newly diagnosed patients only.
